Something was not quite right today. The tiring heat, the sun's rays reflecting on the burning asphalt, the fact that nothing could tell the random passerby a little piece of the story of
the horrible slaughter that took place there not more than 10 days ago. Not even a little memorial in honour of the innocent victims. How disappointing.
All of a sudden, something got my attention. On the exact other side of the road, opposite to ground zero, there was a small figure. It looked like someone was in need for help. So, I took out my phone and took photos.

Is it too late? No, it's never too late to take a picture of someone dying. |

The editing confirms what felt like just a bad thought. |
The terrible sight of the mutilated body left to rot near the sidewalk, as if someone wanted to give a warning, made my stomach whirl. I recognized immediately Mr Fluffy Bear, well-known private investigator and the only one brave enough to search for the murderer(s?) of the innocent dolls. But now it seems that everything is lost. No justice for the victims of the Courbevoie Doll Massacre.

His empty eyes and the open wounds on his body are mind-numbing. And the condition of his skin shows that he'd been dead for at least 4 days before he was dumped like a bag of garbage next to a full trash can. |

The editing makes all the gruesome details more visible, for your visual pleasure! |
It looks like our neighbourhood, once a peaceful haven of good people, is now a dangerous place since a mysterious murderer has decided that he/she is in control and can make decisions on the lives of the others. If a hero doesn't appear soon, we, the common mortals, will be living in fear for the rest of our days. Where is a hero when you need him/her?
Touching story. Gifted narrator. Hope the murderer gets caught soon. Justice will prevail in the end.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope it will. We are all very afraid in the neighbourhood. We lock our Little Ponies in the garage now.
DeleteAlso, yay for the first comment ever on this blog :D
